Job Opening: Associate Software Engineer – AMD Public, Bengaluru

About the Role

AMD Public is hiring Associate Software Engineers to join its Bangalore team. In this role, you’ll be at the core of developing innovative software solutions by combining modern programming languages, open-source tools, cloud services, and scalable system design. Whether building business-specific applications or developing core platforms, your work will directly impact how the company delivers value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions.
  • Work with a wide range of technologies including open-source tools, cloud platforms, and programming languages.
  • Collaborate closely with business teams (trading, sales, banking, finance, etc.) to automate and streamline processes.
  • Build scalable platforms for machine learning, data engineering, networking, and developer tools.
  • Participate in agile development processes and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with UI/UX designers, data scientists, and engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong skills in object-oriented or functional programming.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance tuning.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively with global teams.
  • Self-driven with a problem-solving mindset and a passion for product development.
  • Minimum of 1 year of software development experience.
  • Technical Expertise (One or More of the Following)
  • Proficient in compiled languages (Java, C++) or interpreted languages (Python), with experience in memory management and concurrency.
  • Professional experience in responsive web development using React, Angular, Redux, and advanced JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Elasticsearch.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest or background in front-office trading technologies.
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
